The founder, the late Rev. Harcourt E. Waller, Jr., a retired Episcopal Minister, believed that group travel ought to be able to combine the best of individual travel with lower group costs. To that end, he pioneered in designing tours for small groups who shared similar passions, including university professors, landscape architects, clergymen, and historians. 

His small is beautiful philosophy quickly attracted more tour leaders and travelers than anticipated. To preserve the small group integrity, he chose to offer a limited selection of tours annually. Today, that tradition is continued - along with travel arrangements for luxury cruises and custom travel itineraries for small groups and families - by a small professional staff experienced in the travel industry. 

This tradition of excellence is continued today by a dedicated team of travel professionals led by the founder’s visionary daughter Kathryn Waller, who joined the company in 1981. Third generation travel expert and multi-talented granddaughter, Laura Zulliger, has also joined the team as Vice President. Kathryn shares her over 40 years of experience in developing long-term enriching relationships with her staff, our clients, partners, and enthusiastic guides.
